A British company has announced a new lithium ion battery that it says can cost just £1 per kilogram.
The new battery has a capacity of 5kWh, and uses a lithium-ion cathode as opposed to an alkaline cathode that typically takes about 15 years to produce.
It’s made by the company Electron, which was founded in 2014.
Electron claims the batteries will be able to store up to 5 years of use.
The company says its new battery is more efficient and safe than other lithium ion batteries, which are typically rated at 5kW.
The battery is designed to last for up to five years, and is currently being used in a number of applications.
The company says it will be selling batteries to businesses, universities, governments, and consumers in the near future.
